Mum is here! - Day 1

woke up at 6am this morning to get ready to pick Mum up from the airport.. left the house at 7am and got to the airport at about 7.40am.. Mum only got out at about 8.20am.. we took a cab back to my place as my luggage is really too heavy! yup, it's my luggage, not Mum's! she helped to bring over the luggage that i did not manage to bring over when i came here the other time.. hehez!

looked what they did to my Rice Cooker!

Mum snuggled into bed the moment she got into my room! i was left to unpack my luggage and moved on to job hunting.. she woke up close to lunch time and i microwaved some of the Japanese Curry that i cooked the night before for her.. she ate it with some rice that i steamed.. dessert was one of Jo's Chocolate Chip Muffin with Coffee and she went back to bed after that!!!

i had a hard time getting her out of bed.. in the end i had to tell her i'm going out whether or not she's coming! wahaha! she relented and finally got out of bed slightly past 2pm.. but all i managed to do was to get her to walk to The Parade for grocery shopping!

she was very interested with all the ingredients that we couldnt get in Malaysia or Singapore.. she was immersed in the Herbs & Spices aisle for a particularly long time and bought Onion Salt, Garlic Salt, Lemon Pepper and Red Wine Vinegar, while i put into the trolley some normal things like Black Peppercorns and White Balsamic Vinegar.. haha.. we bought heaps of stuff and ended up with 2 extremely full shopping bags! both of us were very glad when we finally reached the doorstep of Maylands Manor!


Mum cooked 'Fried Noodles' for me the moment we reached home because i was very hungry! on her very first day here, she's all ready to venture to neighbouring states! the research of flights and accommodation now lies in my hands~~~
